Ford Mavericks were everywhere when they came into the market in 1970. They were priced under $2,000, with a 3 speed stick and an inline 6 cylinder engine. No glove box, but it had carpeting and a cigarette lighter.

I know people personally that would gladly take that Camry off your hands for $500. Shoot, my neighbor's old Fleetwood Brougham (that was on blocks for 6 months due to a rusted out steering knuckle) got a ~2005 Ford Taurus in worse shape than this Camry. I swear they pulled it from a junkyard. Anyways, I'm sure that Camry's long gone by now, but if you had a customer in dire straights that their car was beyond saving and had no money, just pay it forward and give them the Camry.

There's something so pleasing seeing about seeing such an austere classic, like a 1985 4-door Cavalier not only surviving, but thriving! A family friend of my parents had a... it was either a dark blue or gray 1987 4-door Cavalier, and it was basic motoring at its finest. Can never go wrong with an honest, simple car! It's very cool to see that the original owner held onto everything, including the dealer key tag (I did the same thing and kept the dealer tag when I bought my Subaru in 2021.) I noticed the company that made that key tag was from my hometown of Troy, Michigan (a pointless detail, but just felt like mentioning.)

Thanks Jay. I bought one used with 1,000 miles on it. I just did my first change after watching your video. And glad I did, it was dark! It’s always nice to watch someone else do it first. How often do you change your oil? I’ve seen people vary from 400 to 5000 miles. I’m thinking I’ll start with 1000 and see what it looks like? I’m sure it must vary a bit depending on riding style.

Price and location

I own a 2012 Enclave Theyre wonderful vehicles but they do require a little extra maintenance to get the longevity out of it! Oil changes every 3 to 4k synthetic oil only. not 7k like GM says. Theyre plagued with transmission issues timing chain issues . If you service the transmission should be every 30 k ,go longer than that youre going to have problems. I just had my Enclave overhauled at 91K. I bought it used not knowing what I know now!!

It’s a late 2000 year model, he put the wrong front end on it. 1998-2000 had this front end, 2001 is when it got this one & it lasted until 2003.

I have a 99 Camry with 400K on it - it's paint faded, but no rust (AZ car), or dents. It's a v6 five speed manual transmission. It runs like new - I'd drive it across country. No leaks no issues.

Do you have to lock the crank shaft too?
